Manager, Contingent Workforce

The role of Manager - Contingent Workforce will be part of the HR business partner team and report to the Associate Director, People – Operations. The person will be responsible for the policies and operations governing all contingent workers across HelloFresh and will strive to deliver the best in class service to internal customers to meet their critical contingent staffing needs. 


This role will work closely with Company HRBP’s to deliver analytics, metrics and industry best practices to determine possible areas for improvement in the Contingent Workforce Program.


You Will:



  • Responsible for the management and governance of key vendors and business relationships, by ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions and supports enforcement of penalties and contract modifications

  • Liaise with Associate Director, People– Operations to ensure all projects and activities relating to the program are completed and tracked appropriately

  • Apply tools, techniques and process to measure and manage program and supplier performance.

  • Collaboratively develop and use program dashboards and supplier scorecards to identify areas requiring improvement and corrective action. Provide ongoing evaluation of vendor performance and provide feedback on areas needing improvement.

  • Partner with Business leaders across multiple Divisions to educate and inform on policies and procedures involving the contingent workforce population

  • Implement strategies to achieve contracted service level metrics

  • Conduct supplier performance meetings to discuss open positions, challenges, headcounts, and recruiting strategies

  • Implement tools and processes to enable contingent workforce reporting

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the onboarding and off boarding of the contingent workforce follows company policies and external governing entities

  • Design and conduct continuous self-monitoring to ensure full compliance with company policies and governing entities

  • Assist in the coordination and oversight of audits related to contingent employee status, background checks and other contractual requirements

  • Accountable for driving and measuring results in forecasting, real time resource management, and real time resource reporting

  • Partner with senior management to accurately forecast volumes, analyze historical volume; project budgetary expenses, determine future costing and assist with new hire numbers projections 

  • Develop, evaluate and implement recommendations for new methods, procedures and implementation plans 

  • Assist in the coordination and oversight of audits related to contingent employee status, background checks and other contractual requirements 

  • Coordinate and manage procurement events (RFI/RFP) in partnership with key stakeholders

  • Develop process and contracts to ensure external resource management compliance.

  • Develop a report structure to ensure key stakeholders are aware of program results and can make strategic decisions 


You are/Have:



  • Bachelor Degree/Masters’ preferred

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience with at least 2 years’ minimum of contingent workforce program management experience including Contingent Workforce Management, HR Management and Vendor Management

  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and significant experience with managing various Performance Metrics and Service Level Agreements and a variety of contingent labor related staffing needs

  • The confidence and ability to interact with senior business leadership and communicate contingent workforce program goals, initiatives.

  • You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.

  • You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy 

  • You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business

  • You have the ability to adapt to a fluid, unstructured environment and are able to produce results with little supervision

  • You are an exceptional communicator with the skills to influence effectively.
