Off the back of a bumper year for European IPOs, Google, McKinsey and Rocket Internet have joined forces for the third edition of The Digital Top 50 Awards, with additional backing from Freshfields law firm. Formerly created under the patronage of Mr Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, the awards are aimed at bolstering Europe’s thriving tech scene, and recognising the continent’s most promising startups. Accompanied by the knowledge and resources of academic and research partners such as INSEAD, Ashoka and RWTH Aachen University, the DT50 brings together a wealth of expertise to support Europe’s digital ecosystem.
Startups from the EU and from EFTA countries can apply at www.dt50.org until 22nd September 2019. The Awards cover the full spectrum of the ecosystem across the following categories:
- B2B Startup
- B2C Startup
- Early Stage Startup
- Social Impact Startup
Applications will be evaluated by DT50’s Executive Jury, a hand-picked panel of experts, veterans in venture building and growth mentoring, which will be announced shortly. 50 finalists will be selected as this year’s cohort and offered the opportunity to exhibit their business live on stage and meet investors at TechCrunch Disrupt in Berlin. The jurors will then select one winner per each category.
Winners will benefit from an intensive mentoring package, structured consulting & coaching programs from all DT50 partners. They will get access to a vast network of leading decision-makers, all positioned to help them grow their business faster. Lastly, the winners of the social impact & early startup categories will both receive a cash prize of 25,000 Euros.
